Free : 2013 Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies’ Scholarships in Germany

Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of  Literary Studies offers scholarships for pursuing doctoral and postdoctoral  level in  . These    are offered in the field of Literary Studies. Each year up to 10 scholarships for a maximum duration of three years are offered to doctoral candidates, 2 scholarships are awarded to postdoctoral researchers  for a maximum duration of two years. Applications should be submitted by January 7 th, 2013. Study Subject(s): Research areas include the relationship between literature and other types of texts; the links between literary texts and processes of linguistic reflection; rhetoric and poetics; the correlations between literature and other media, as well as between literature and discourses of knowledge. All theses should have a specifically philological focus and must apply comparative methods to European, American, Arabic or Asian literatures.
Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing doctoral degree level.

Scholarship can be taken at: Germany Eligibility:-Applicants must have a completed degree (M.A. or equivalent) with above-average grades in the humanities, preferably literary studies. German and English are the favored working languages in the international doctoral programme.
- Doctoral candidates take part in activities which support them in their research within their individual disciplines, at the same time placing this research in an interdisciplinary context. Scholarship Open for International Students: International students can apply for this scholarship. Scholarship Description: The Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies has once again been successful in the German “Excellence Initiative”. It has as its aim the supervision of exceptional dissertation projects in the field of Literary Studies, examining European, American, Arabic and Asian literary texts, within the doctoral degree programme “Literary Studies”. The projects should be well grounded in theory and should adopt a historical and / or an inter- or transcultural approach. Number of award(s):-Each year up to 10 scholarships are awarded for doctoral candidates while up to 2 scholarships for postdoctoral researchers. Duration of award(s): -Doctoral  scholarships are awarded for a maximum duration of three years and postdoctoral scholarships are awarded for a maximum duration of two years. What does it cover?
