Free : 2013 AstroTech Postdoctoral Position in Astrophysics and Planetary Science in Israel

The astrophysics group in the  Technion offers a postdoctoral fellowship  in various research  areas related to astronomy and astrophysicsThe research  position is for two to three years pending on budget  and progress. Applicants with experience in  hydrodynamics simulations are especially  encouraged. Successful  candidates would receive 5000$ for personal research  budget. Study Subject(s) Various research areas related to astronomy and astrophysics including: Stellar and planetary dynamics, planet formation, prototoplanetary disks evolution and simulations, dynamics and gas processes near massive black holes, dynamics of few-body systems and stellar clusters, supernovae thoery and observations, Solar system planets and minor bodies, detection and characterization of exo-planets, stellar evolution in binaries and multiple stars . Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing postdoctoral degree level.

Current faculty members in  the astrophysics group  include Ehud Behar, Ari Laor, Adi Nusser, Hagai  Perets and Noam Soker,  Fellows are expected to carry out both independent original  research, as well as  collaborative work with faculty and/or students. Duration of Awards:  The position is for two to three years pending on budget and progress. What does it Cover? Successful candidates would receive 5000$ for personal research budget. Selection criteria: The main selection criteria  will be outstanding research  accomplishments, creativity and promise of  future  achievement.
