Free : PhD Scholarships in Physics and Engineering at IMPRS-PL in Germany, 2013

The International Max Planck Research School Physics of Light (IMPRS-PL), offers PhD scholarships in physics and engineering within a unique framework. Students must an excellent degree equivalent to a diploma or master in physics, engineering or computer science is required. Research topics are nanophotonics, nonlinear and quantum optics, optomechanics, laser science, single molecule spectroscopy, super-resolution microscopy, plasmonics, pattern recognition, biophysics and biophotonics and medical imaging. Applications can be sent online twice a year with deadlines January 31st and July 31st. Study Subject(s): The scholarship is provided in Physics and Engineering.

Scholarship Description: The programme is jointly organised by the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, the Friedrich-Schiller University Jena, the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, and the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering IOF.
